Reversible Wrap Skirt

I love these wrap skirts at the moment, they're so funky!
I have made this one reversible, because sometimes kids spill their ice cream, throw up, draw on themselves......
Hannah was very impressed with the pocket, somewhere to keep all her jewels!
For those of you who click on the photos to see them larger you will notice that there is grass growing in the pots behind Hannah, that is not on purpose! I seriously do not have a green thumb, and if I did, it would have fallen off with gangrene!

Roller Skates

I think Hannah needs a pair of roller skates to go with these pants!
They are quite groovy, have a nice little bell bottom, (to sit over the top of the roller skates)
and the hat is really cute too!
I loved to roller skate when I was kid! I Can Not ice skate, my husband and my bottom can testify that i seriously suck at Ice Skating! Its a shame though that there is no longer a roller skating rink in Newcastle, it would have been interesting to see if I could still skate.

Jayden would also like the world to know that he scored 108 in bowling, his very first time playing and he didn't have to use the bumpers! (1 almost 7yr old very impressed with himself!)

More of Jack's Pirate Book

Almost finished Jack's Book!
These pages are a bit out of sequence as I tend to make the pictures first and then work out where to put them in the book. Jack is very excited, and Jayden has loved having creative input in the story, even though he had to walk the plank!
Jack's Book has been made with

HTML???? what the?

As you can see I am trying to customise my blog. I have made the header and it fits just right. I have made the background, but it wont fit just right. Its all about dimensions, and your computer screen might be a different size to mine and you need the right HTML code. I have gotten this far, thanks to my 17 year old son who will probably run a mile next time he see's me coming!
Its a work in progress bit I want it to look like this
the graphics I have used to make this and the header
are by Jofia Devoe, I have used her Summer Pleasures kit which is available at

A Little Vintage

I should have taken photos of Hannah rolling down a hill like Laura on Little House on the Prairie!
Little House on the Prairie was my favourite show when I was a kid, but my Dad barred me from watching it because I cried in every episode. But Dad was a marine engineer and so not always there and Mum liked Little House, too!
Anyway, this outfit made me think of all that. Its a bit vintage, a bit country and very pretty!
Drill ruffle pants, apron top, tea dyed singlet with lace sleeves and fabric flower headband
the whole outfit $55.00

Look Up!

I have made a new blog header, do you like?

The Winner is...

Nigel and Jo you are the winner of the Jelly Skirt, size 3 in pink, brown and teal!
you can contact me at metcalfe.lee@optusnet.com.au with your postal details.
Thanks to all who played along, will play again at the end of September!

Hannah didn't want to play along today, she was too busy watching Barbie and the Diamond Castle for the 50th time!
Jack didn't mind helping out though, he was either really excited for Nigel and Jo or excited that I had just given him an out so he wouldn't have to do the end of movie waltz with Hannah!

Summer Days

I am so over these August winds! Bring on summer! At least today is warm, though. Warm enough to take the kids to Bar Beach for a photo shoot, too windy though to be on the beach! We got onto the beach the wind picked up and started blowing sand, 2 kids screaming and hanging off my legs which pretty much left us stuck, and stung!
I did manage to get these cute shots against this mural on the promenade at the beach, no wind here!
So bring on Summer, or Spring and your kids look as great on the beach as Jack and Hannah in
Hannah Banannas Designs!!!

A little bit reminiscent

Nanna's Tablecloth Skirt
I love this fabric! Maybe because it really does remind me of my Nanna's kitchen when I was a kid.
I loved going to my Nan's house, it was always full of people, noisy and chaotic, but warm and friendly too.
Hannah loves my Nan, Old Nan, the kids call her... if only they knew her when she used to make the best fish fingers and dream of being on Bert Newtons, New Faces... and of course had the grooviest tablecloth in all of Carrington!
Nanna's Tablecloth Skirt, soon to be available at
$22.00ea
