Frangipanis for Summer

I dont know why I keep thinking this fabric is frangipanis it is definately not, more likely hibiscus? Anyway I am looking forward to summer and I think this fabric will look great on the beach! Hannah looks like a little hawaiian princess, she just needs a frangipani to put behind her ear!
Jayden and Jack are looking pretty cool in these gnarly boardies with an elastic waist for comfort and a pocket on the side, so your little gromet has somewhere he can keep his surfboard wax or change for a chiko roll! You will definately NOT lose your child on the beach this summer!

Nanna's Tablecloth Dress

Nanna's Tablecloth Dress!
Mum got this fat quarter at the fabric shop, and there was enough to make 2 tops.
Everyone at Ally's Hannah Banannas party loved these! Absolutely amazed me, I mean I loved them too, but I wasn't sure that everyone else would like an apron top made out of a piece of fabric that would have looked right at home in a 70's kitchen!
We got lucky and found some more of this fabric and it has made up quite nicely as a dress.
These are in my madeit store for $30.00 each.
I hope you have all had a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Zac

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Zac, who is 17 today!
It wasn't the best 17th birthday, I would have said hooray!
I hope you have a great night on Friday though with your mates,
I Love You,
Mum xx

Another Page for Jack's Pirate Adventure

This will be one of the last pages in the book, for some reason I am making them out of order.
I know that in this page Jaws is being shot with a canonball, but it is merely for the purpose of adding pirate drama, and as said in the book we all know Jaws never dies!
My Dad was a seaman (he is supposed to be retired) and the kids all love hearing about his adventures, just as myself and my brother and sister did. He was a marine engineer though, not a pirate! He has always sent home letters telling us of the whales that follow the ship for days, the massive big sharks he's seen, the dolphins. Just last week he sent some photos of seals on the rudder of a ship he was towing into Newcastle Harbour.
I think maybe its for this reason that one of Jacks favourite movies is Jaws and its for that reason Jaws is a main feature in Jacks Story Book!
This is one of Jack and Hannah's Favourite photos, they think it is so funny that Jaws is eating Grandad!

First Day Back at Work

I haven't worked outside the home since September 1993! Which was 2 weeks before Jayden was born!
It was actually 2003, luckily a good friend of mine has just pointed this out to me. 7 years ago, not 17!
Tonight I went back to work, it was pretty good, everyone was friendly and nice. I have worked with some of them before, even if it was a long time ago.
So now it is sewing all day every day?
Waitressing 4 nights a week,
and as Jayden would say, I am a Mum for infinity, and a wife too!
Just quietly though, I am very tired! But enjoying the wine at the end of a long day!

So while I'm here, enjoying my glass of wine, I will share with you one of the photos taken of the kids for the Frankie Small photoshoot.
This photo is of Jayden and his best mates from school, Rory and Finn. It captures the three of them so well, they seriously are a trio of jokers!
If you want to see more photos of cute kids and great clothes you can check out Becki's blog
http://www.frankiesmall.blogspot.com/
Cant wait for her new website and online store to be up and running, there will be some seriously cool clothes on there!

Update!!!!
the wines gone warm, and Hannah is the next winter casualty in our house!
Must be bedtime,
goodnight all!

Shabby and Chic

I love these shabby chic 2 tier dresses!
They look awesome on the girls. About to put them in the madeit store

Yesterday was the first Hannah Banannas clothing party at Ally's.
It went so well and the girls had a great time trying on all the clothes.
When I find the camera lead I will put up some photos of the girls.
Thanks Ally, you're a great friend, and I really appreciate what you have done for me!

Hannah and Tanika

Tanika is Hannah's friend from the caravan park where we have our onsite van. They are great friends and play so well together, they both have great imaginations! Hannah is going to miss her when she moves into her new home (hopefully this weekend for her Mum).

Jelly Skirts
Tanika is wearing the new colour combo of mauves and teals. Pretty and fun!

Jelly Dresses and Lace Dresses
How gorgeous are these girls?
Fun, girly twirly dresses!
Shabby and Chic 2 Tier Dresses
I love these colours together and today I have added some handmade fabric flowers pinned to the bodice of the dress, they really make it shabby chic!

These girls were just so beautiful and sweet together I made this page for them.
I hope they always have great imaginations and good friends!
(I used Where Dreams Begin by Createwings Designs to make this page).

A Panoply of Colour

I love these dresses! I love the colours in them, they are fun! Great dresses for summer with a light voile skirt, and again, plenty of room for twirling! It's the first thing Hannah checks!  I have to say Hannah and George were such great sports letting me take these photos, it was so cold and windy... not summery at all!         Thank You Hannah and Jordan!

New Lace Dresses

I love these new lace dresses, so pretty and fun!
Made from bonds singlet tops with a lace skirt and bright ruffle trim, the perfect summer dress!
For spring you could add footless tights, as Hannah has done and a bright, little cardi.
Available in a range of colours, (the ruffles), for $30.00 each at

Entrepreneurs

Jayden really wants an Xbox!
He entered a competition at school where you draw your own house and the prize for the best drawing in each age group is $500. Well he had it won, it didnt matter that it was Australia wide, he was convinced he would win and he would buy himself an Xbox!
But sometimes life is cruel and a little unfair, as his mate Rory was about to point out to Jayden, because the $500 prize money is not actually cold , hard cash, but a $500 gift voucher to the ABC shop.
The ABC Shop does NOT sell Xboxes! Devastated, life is so unfair!
Incredibly Jayden decided he would earn the money, by drawing portraits for $3.00 ea.  Nan and Pop liked theirs so much they paid $5.00ea, (we suggested he should charge Nan and Grandad $5.00 and hope they pay $7.00 each).
So Jayden is on his way to earning enough money to buy himself an Xbox. Today, he and his mate, Bailey sat out the front of our house with a sketch book and pencils, (a microphone?) and they made $3.00 each. One guy stopped his car and gave them $2.00 for great effort and having a go!
Every entrepreneur has to start somewhere!

Missy Moo designs is at the Olive Tree Markets the first Saturday of every month 9.00am  3.00pm.

Limited Edition

One of a Kind! So cute and funky!
I only had enough fabric to make one of these, so your daughter could be wearing an original, one off designer piece?
Seriously though, this dress looks great! Its an awesome colour combo and you get the hat for free!

Paint Splatter Dresses

She will definately stand out in the crowd!
I love bright and twirly clothes for little girls, and this dress falls perfectly into that category!
The skirt is made from a soft voile and will be so light and cool for summer, its gathered onto a black knit bodice. Hannah loved this dress and despite the fact that it was about 7 degrees she wanted to keep it on, (and play on Dad's dirty quad). I also have this dress in a purple and green combo, I will add photos of that one a bit later, when I find a model.
